Vice President Kamala Harris will continue and expand the disastrous policies of the Biden-Harris administration that have been rejected by the American people, Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) told host Matthew Boyle. Breitbart News Saturday.
As Harris has done her best to avoid policy debates, Lummis and her Republican colleagues, many of whom served with Harris in the Senate, have focused on her radical policy record.
Rammis led a group of Republican senators in a statement saying, i disagreeInspired by the Declaration of Independence, the letter presents a case for a Biden-Harris agenda. Its co-authors include Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), John Cornyn (R-TX), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Steve Daines (R-MT), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Mike Lee (R-UT), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Rick Scott (R-FL), and Dan Sullivan (R-AK).
“Our government exercises its legitimate powers with the consent of the people who are governed in the United States, and at this point in time, this government, this Biden-Harris administration, is not exercising that power legitimately,” Lummis told Boyle. “Hence the title: We do not consent to being governed like this.”
Rammis said Harris cannot run away from the failures of the Biden-Harris administration over the past three and a half years.
“Kamala Harris was in the room when that horrific withdrawal from Afghanistan happened,” she said. “Kamala Harris has supported Joe Biden's policies from start to finish.”
Harris also bears responsibility for the border crisis, Rammis said.

“We've had 10 to 20 million illegal immigrants cross the border, trafficking people and trafficking fentanyl, and now we have communities that are totally devastated by people who can't drive,” she said. “They're committing hit-and-runs. They have no insurance, they have no jobs, so the government is giving them insurance and taking away insurance from veterans and others who want work. This is a total travesty. How is the Biden-Harris administration going to respond? They're using the Justice Department as a weapon in the court system to use against Donald Trump and defeat him in court, not at the polls.”
In their book, Rep. Lummis and her Senate colleagues also outline other dire consequences of the Biden-Harris Administration's policies.
“Ron Johnson writes about the irrational and vague reporting of vaccine injuries that's happened since COVID,” she said. “Mike Lee does a great job explaining where the Biden-Harris Administration got the idea to prosecute Donald Trump. Of course it came from a banana republic. And Rick Scott talks about the irrational and unsustainable spending in the United States that's taken us through the Biden-Harris Administration to a point where inflation is at 22%. People can't buy food, gas, rent, they can't fly. They're saving up for vacations. And the American people have had enough.”

Rammis said the country is “at a real crossroads right now” when it comes to the economy.
“If Kamala Harris is elected president of the United States, inflation will get even worse, affecting everyone who goes to the grocery store, buys fuel, heating oil, and is trying to make ends meet,” she warned. “The border will not close as the months go by. More people will come across the border, taking low-income jobs away from low-income people who are hit hardest by the prices at the grocery stores. This economy will be in serious trouble if Kamala Harris is elected president.”
Democrats have no regard for debt, and that's clear from the Biden-Harris administration's legislative agenda.
“The Democrats passed a bill called the Inflation Control Act, which was meant to push through environmental policies so radical that the country would no longer be energy self-sufficient,” Lummis said. “And of course, the way to get rich again as a country and get prices down is to lower gas prices and export American oil and natural gas overseas. They're doing it completely wrong.”
Harris is doing everything in her power to hide her policies from the American people.
“I just don't understand how anyone could think that a woman who keeps repeating that she comes from a middle-class background and then talks about nothing else about what she's going to do could be a good president,” Lummis told Boyle. “She'd be a terrible president. Our country would be in serious trouble if Kamala Harris were president of the United States. Whether you like President Trump's temperament or not, we were much better off when he was president of the United States, and we would be again.”

Boyle criticized Harris' record on energy policy, noting that before dropping out of the 2020 presidential race, Harris stated on camera that she would ban fracking if elected president, yet her campaign now claims she will not do so.
“She has never said, out of her own mouth, that we won't be doing fracking,” Lammis said. “In fact, every major statement she's made about what she won't be doing has come from her staff. Because she doesn't say it, she's not responsible for what her staff says. And then she can go to the White House and say, 'Don't worry about it. That was not my position. My staff spoke out of turn.'”
She said Harris would continue implementing the harmful Green New Deal, “leaving us dependent on other countries for oil and gas, and selling electric cars to Americans who don't want to buy them, can't find a place to charge them, can't find a place to dispose of their heavy batteries, and if you live in a cold climate your battery may die before you get to work.” This is a stupid policy. It's hurting car dealers. It's hurting auto manufacturers. And it's all because of their stupid desire to change society in ways that society doesn't want.
She continued:
So the government just Power comes simply, and I mean the emphasis on the word “simply,” from the consent of the governed, and now they're making these ridiculous policies without our consent that are fundamentally changing this country and taking away our ability to even lead the world anymore, to lead in areas where we've always been leaders, in energy policy, in financial services, in defense, in intellectual property, in technology. We've always run away from those areas, and now Harris' philosophy is, let's send them all overseas. Let's take all the illegal immigrants who are ill-prepared to come to this country, give them free cell phones, give them free rent, take them away from American veterans. It's so ridiculous that you may not believe it's happening, but it's happening right before our eyes.
During her debate with Trump, Harris insisted she would work to pass the so-called Senate border security bill that was defeated earlier this year after details were leaked that she said would lead to an increase in migration.
“The bill she was referring to was not a border security bill, it was a comprehensive immigration bill,” Lummis said. “Now we need to stop the bleeding. The bleeding started when President Trump left office by almost completely closing the border. Within a week, the numbers started to rise because the Biden-Harris administration basically threw open the border doors, abandoned all the great policies that President Trump had put in place, and invited illegal immigrants into this country. And they came in droves.”
If the Biden-Harris administration wants to secure the border, that's easy to do, Lammis argued.
“As you said, all the Mexican government should have done was reinstate the Trump-era executive order,” she said, “but instead, we're faced with the situation we're facing now.”
Rammis made it clear who was to blame.
“This is a Biden-Harris crisis,” she argued. “They created it. She was their border secretary. And the way she handled it as border secretary was to ignore the problem and perpetuate illegal immigration with criminal records, to bring in fentanyl, to condone human trafficking into our country. This is modern-day slavery. They should be ashamed of what they've done to our country and what they've done to these poor young illegal immigrants who are coming across the border with sponsors who are not relatives, who are bringing them in as sex traffickers and drug mules.”
Lummis spoke about Harris' leadership in the cryptocurrency space, which Trump has made a key part of his campaign, saying, “From what I know, Harris is aligned with Elizabeth Warren on digital assets.”
The Wyoming senator has been working with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) on a bipartisan “comprehensive legislative framework” on digital currencies.
“The House has already passed a comprehensive legislative framework, and Senator Kamala Harris and her progressive allies are messing around because they don't want people to own assets that aren't created by the government and approved by the government,” she said. And of course, if you have bitcoin or any other digital asset, the government can't surveil you and wants to know what you're doing with your money. The government wants to tax every transaction you can think of. So by doing business in bitcoin, you're depriving yourself of the opportunity to be taxed and surveilled in the way that we do now.”
Lummis said President Trump will bring a cryptocurrency transformational plan back to the White House.
“President Trump, I'm assuming he understands these things, is going to unleash this industry in a way that demands transparency and full disclosure, but still allows people to use the assets, not the means to police them.”
“I'm very pleased that President Trump recognizes and embraces this. Under President Trump, we will have a robust financial system based on digital assets,” she added.
