Video shows the moment the son of would-be Donald Trump assassin Ryan Routh is arrested by federal agents in North Carolina on child pornography charges.
Oran Rous, 35, was arrested this week after images of child sexual abuse were discovered in his Greensboro home in connection with an unrelated investigation into his father's assassination attempt, according to court documents.
Surveillance video of car dealership Get it on Fox 8 Video from Wednesday shows several unmarked law enforcement vehicles crowding the parking lot and flashing their lights as Routh, dressed all in black, passes by.
As the officer entered and handcuffed Routh, Routh put his hands above his head, turned around and put his hands behind his back, the video shows.
“[Police] They were here for a week… They searched his house. He wasn't here,'' Rasheen Sherif, a mechanic working on a nearby car, told the magazine in the video.
“They just searched the house and hung out here for a couple of hours. Then they left…the next day they came and were there all night,” Sherif said. Ta.
When investigators searched his home on Sept. 21, they seized multiple electronic devices and discovered hundreds of child sex abuse files, according to court documents. He is charged with two counts of possessing and receiving child sexual abuse material.
Oran Routh's arrest comes just days after Ryan Routh, 58, allegedly tried to kill the former president while golfing at a club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on September 15. . This was the second attempt on the life of a Republican candidate.
Days before Oran Rous was arrested on child pornography charges, his father said he hated President Trump but was “not a violent person.”
“He's my father and as far as I know, all he's ever had is a few traffic tickets,” his son told the Daily Mail. “It's crazy. I know my dad and I love him, but he looks nothing like him.”
Secret Service agents found the muzzle of an AK-47 rifle protruding from the bushes near the sixth hole. The agents opened fire before Routh, who had been camped out in the brush for 12 hours, had a chance to fire a single shot.
Ryan Routh dropped his rifle and fled in an SUV. He was arrested 40 minutes later.
The suspect was charged Tuesday with attempting to assassinate a leading presidential candidate.
