The US believes Iran is preparing to “soon launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel,” according to a new report.
A senior White House official said, “We are actively supporting Israel's defense preparations to protect it from this attack.'' A direct military attack from Iran against Israel would have serious consequences for Iran. ”

“There are indications that Iran is preparing for an imminent ballistic missile attack against Israel,” the full statement read.
“We are actively supporting Israel's defense preparations to protect it from this attack. A direct military attack on Israel from Iran would have serious consequences for Iran.”
A U.S. official told CNN that the United States is prepared to do whatever it takes to help Israel deter any Iranian-induced actions. Such an effort would be similar to what the United States offered to help in April, when Iran launched a wave of drones and missiles toward Israel, most of which were successfully intercepted.
