Democrats suspect Netanyahu is trying to tilt the race between Trump and Harris.

Democrats say Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to interfere in U.S. internal affairs by ignoring President Biden's calls to negotiate a peace deal in Gaza and confronting Hezbollah and Iran weeks before the U.S. presidential election. There are growing suspicions that this may be the case. The conflict between Israel, Hezbollah and Hezbollah's ally Iran is rapidly escalating, undermining Biden's efforts to achieve peace through diplomacy.

Biden: 'I don't know' if Netanyahu is trying to influence election

President Biden said Friday that he did not know whether Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was trying to influence the U.S. presidential election, but noted that there is no stronger ally for Israel than his administration. In his first briefing room appearance since taking office, Biden addressed Democratic concerns that Israeli leaders are ignoring Biden's calls to negotiate a peace deal in Gaza and are at odds with Hezbollah.
