The Iranian-backed terrorist proxy Hezbollah is hiding $500 million in gold and cash in a secret bunker once run by the group's deceased leader beneath a hospital in Beruit, Israeli military officials said Monday. Announced.

IDF spokesman Maj. Gen. Daniel Hagari said the Israeli Air Force was “deliberately” monitoring a vault in the basement of Al Sahel Hospital, but there were no plans to target the building.

Israel has targeted Hezbollah in recent weeks after it launched attacks into northern Israel, forcing many people in the area to flee.

By October 10, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released a video showing Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar fleeing into a tunnel with his family. 7 attack2

“This bunker was purposely placed beneath the hospital and contains over $500 million in cash and gold,” Hagari said. “The money could have been used to rebuild Lebanon, but it was used to rebuild Hezbollah.”

The IDF says the bunker is connected to a hospital and is filled with beds and rooms for long-term stays, as well as space for operational command. The IDF also announced that the site belonged to terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in September.

Mr. Hagari appealed to the Lebanese authorities to rein in Hezbollah and to inspect the site.

“I call on the Lebanese government, Lebanese authorities and international organizations not to allow Hezbollah to use its funds for terrorism or attacks on Israel,” he said.

Hospital director Fadi Alameh said the facility was being evacuated.

“You are near facilities and interests belonging to Hezbollah that will be targeted by Israeli forces in the near future,” he reportedly wrote to X.

The IDF accuses Hezbollah, like Hamas, of hiding weapons and harboring terrorist fighters in hospitals, schools and other sensitive locations.

Hagari also detailed how Iran sends money to Hezbollah and other ways the terrorist organization finances its operations. Hezbollah's financial arm, Alkad Alhassan, provides financial services to Lebanese civilians and pays the salaries of Hezbollah operatives, he said.
