On July 13, in Butler, Pennsylvania, Donald Trump stared at a screen displaying immigration statistics as he addressed a crowd of supporters. The next moment he was on his knees, blood pouring from his face, and struggled to his feet, reassuring his supporters that he would continue the fight. One turn of his head could have dramatically changed our world.
We don't know what happened in the timeline where the assassin exploded Trump's brains live on camera. What kind of conflict and chaos would have erupted if the heartfelt wishes of the liberal media and brutal Democrats had been heard? I don't want to know. What I do know is that providence saved Donald Trump and our beloved country that day, and now the moment of truth has arrived.
Even if President Trump secures the votes he needs, the fight is far from over.
It's no secret that I'm not a big fan of how this republic came to be. Popular democracy was never what our founding fathers wanted for this country, and I'm more tired than anyone of hearing the words, “This is the most important election of our lifetimes.” But the weaponization of our judicial system, the overt attempts to force opponents off the ballot by any means necessary, and the attempt to introduce a foreign voting base to control all future elections. Given the blatant efforts, it's hard not to see this moment as: Extremely important.
The Biden-Harris administration has perpetuated censorship, imprisoned political opponents, and voiced weak calls for violence. Four more years of open borders will permanently shift the electoral balance in favor of Democrats and erode our shared culture and way of life. If the left can imprison its opponents and bring in new voting bases, it may technically hold elections similar to Saddam Hussein's elections, but it will no longer influence governance. Probably. America will become a one-party state.
Despite the initial buzz that exploded on the internet, Kamala Harris revealed herself to be the cynical, incompetent, and thankless disaster of DEI that every honest Democrat knew.
Harris entered office without ever winning a primary, but the original plan was to hide her from the public and hope that her hatred of Trump would carry her over the finish line. The campaign did its best to manage her exposure, but in the end Harris was reluctantly obliged to make media appearances, and despite friendly interviewers and generous editing, she managed to embarrass herself. .
Mr. Trump and his running mate, J.D. Vance, have taken completely opposite approaches. Both took part in lengthy interviews with often hostile interlocutors and gave admirable performances. His clever incorporation of new media and influential podcasters focused young male voters on Trump and Vance, energizing their critical base. Joe Rogan, perhaps the most culturally relevant talk show host since Oprah Winfrey, put aside his previous support for Bernie Sanders to endorse the real estate mogul. It is clear that the momentum is on Trump's side.
Official election results may not be announced until Tuesday night. The media has been preparing voters for a long counting process, and many state officials are echoing this idea. For most of my life, overnight election results have been the norm, and with the odd exception of the 2000 presidential election, we all believe that this is the basic norm in well-ordered first world countries. I was there. The fact that Democrats have succeeded in prolonging and obfuscating the electoral process should say everything about how far “our democracy'' has fallen.
Even if President Trump secures the votes he needs, the fight is far from over. Some Democratic lawmakers have already announced that they will refuse to certify even if Trump wins legitimately, and that left-wing groups are already planning acts of violence if Trump returns to office. There is no doubt that it is.
If Trump becomes the 47th president, he will still face an uphill battle against a malign media, a hostile deep state, and a corrupt Republican Party. President Trump's victory is not a panacea, and conservatives will need to do the hard work of keeping his promises while building local and state power.
But these challenges mean nothing if Harris is in office to pursue a disastrous left-wing agenda. So on Election Day, remember that you witnessed a miracle and fight for the future of your country. May God forever bless our nation and lead us to repentance and a better future.
