‘I’m Sure’ Trump Will ‘Lead’ Towards ‘Real Sanctions’ on Iran

On Friday's “Mark Levin Show,” Israeli Ambassador to Israel Danny Danon said the incoming Trump administration needs to “paralyze” Iran's economy to stop Iranian proxies from promoting terrorism. “If there were real sanctions, they would hit Iran's economy.” We're spending less money on terrorism, and I'm confident that President Trump will move in that direction. ”

Danon said Iran will remain a malign actor even with a change of administration, noting that Iranian assets have been indicted in a plot to assassinate President-elect Trump, adding: “The new administration will put them under surveillance. I think it's necessary,” he added. If we are in the right position, we should cripple Tehran's economy. They currently spend $7 billion a year on their agents and promote chaos around the world. So if we put in place serious sanctions, we're going to spend less money on terrorism, and I'm confident that President Trump will lead us in that direction. ”
