‘Overwhelmed’ Megan Rapinoe Claims a ‘Hateful’ Trump Presidency Means ‘Fear’ for ‘Trans Friends’

Former US soccer player Megan Rapinoe says she is “afraid” of her “transgender friends” as a second “hateful” President Trump prepares to take office in January.

Appearing on the podcast “A Touch More” on Wednesday, the Olympic gold medal winner talked about the feeling he's had since left-wing Vice President Kamala Harris lost the election in a landslide to former President and now President-elect Donald Trump. FOX News reported.

Rapinoe was disappointed in Trump's second term as president.

“I'm overwhelmed by the reality that there's going to be a Trump presidency. I'm not saying this is new because we've seen it before, but the reality is that crazy things can happen at any time. It's really overwhelming. “I think so,” she cried.

She went on to say that because she lives in a liberal bubble, she doesn't fear as much for her own safety, but she does worry about her “trans friends.”

“I personally don't think I'm too scared because we live in a very progressive place and we're incredibly privileged in terms of the world, life, economics and everything else. But that fear only extends to the general population who are really affected,” she exclaimed.

“I'm thinking about all of my transgender friends and acquaintances, and all of my transgender children. I'm thinking about the possibility of mass deportations, if this were to happen, that would be triggered. It’s really overwhelming, as is the general confusion,” she said.

Speaking of living in a liberal bubble, Rapinoe also said she was shocked to see her radical leftism so thoroughly rejected by voters who bought into Trump's “hateful message.” It is said that he received it.

“I think it's just hard to see that a hateful message like this resonates with so many voters. We always know that it's there. You know, let's not be naive about this. This is America, and we're built on slavery and inequality,” she exaggerated.

Still, she seemed vaguely aware that Democrats would need to downplay her radical ideas in the future.

“Obviously, Democrats have missed the mark in some ways, and this message and this party is going to resonate with more people than any other party in the coming months, weeks and years. We need to really take an honest look at that.'' It didn't happen this time. ” she said.

The former U.S. soccer star did not say what he felt Democrats did wrong. If her previous comments are any indication, she probably doesn't think her ideas caused the collapse of the Democratic Party.
