President-elect Donald Trump's nomination of Fox News personality Pete Hegseth for secretary of defense shocked the liberal media, who believed Hegseth was unqualified.
But they seem to have no idea that Hegseth is not only a Fox News personality, but also holds a Harvard degree, served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and earned two Bronze Stars.
And he has no interest in following their equity-driven demands.
“I want to be candid and say that we shouldn't put women in combat roles. It doesn't make us more effective, it doesn't make us more deadly, it doesn't make combat more complicated. I we are all with women I've worked there, and they're great. In places in human history where men in those positions are more capable, our system just doesn't need to encourage them,” Hegseth said. he said in a recent interview.
Pat Gray of Pat Gray Unleashed couldn't agree more.
“People say I'm old-fashioned, but I'm stuck in the 1950s quagmire, but I don't think women should be in combat either. We don't have to do the same thing,” Gray says.
Hegseth also explained how he intends to entrench the military in the new positions, including removing the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and generals and admirals who were “involved in any of the DEI matters.”
“We have to get DEI and CRT out of military academies, so we don't train young officers to be baptized into this kind of thinking, and then whatever the standards are, whatever the combat standards are, for example, I , I don’t know, 1995, let’s take that as a baseline,” Hegseth continued.
Don Lemon has been the most vocal of those on the left dissatisfied with President Trump's appointment of Hegseth, even posting a video of himself reading the appointment while laughing.
Lemon said little about Hegseth's actual qualifications, but laughed when he called Hegseth just a “Fox News morning weekend host.”
