Graham knocks ICC over Netanyahu, Gallant: 'A dangerous joke'

Sen. Lindsey Graham (RS.C.) has thrown out the International Criminal Court (ICC) over arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Job Gallant.

The ICC announced in two separate press releases on Thursday that it had issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Mr. Gallant, and Hamas leader Mohamed Diab Ibrahim al-Masri. The warrant alleges that the leaders committed war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.

“The courts are a dangerous joke. It is time for the U.S. Senate to act and sanction this irresponsible institution. ,” Graham said in Thursday's X Post.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office harshly criticized the ICC on Thursday, calling it a “biased and discriminatory political organization” in a statement written in Hebrew and translated into English, according to the office.

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not bow to pressure. He will continue to pursue all the goals Israel has set out to achieve in its just war against Hamas and the Iranian axis of terror,” the statement said.

The Israel-Hamas war began with a deadly attack on Israel by Palestinian militants on October 7 last year, which left 1,200 people dead. Since then, more than 43,000 Palestinians have died in the war, which recently surpassed a year.
