California Governor Gavin Newsom says he is “disappointed” that President Joe Biden lied about not pardoning his son Hunter Biden.

Mr. Newsom (D-Calif.) spoke. politiko So he said he accepted the president's word, even though he understood his instinct to protect his son.
“Given everything the president and his family have been through, the instinct to protect Hunter is completely understandable,” Newsom said.
“But I took the president at his word,” Newsom said of the president's repeated promises not to intervene in his son's case. “So, understandably, I am disappointed and cannot support this decision.”
Biden has repeatedly vowed not to forgive his son. But he pardoned his son on Sunday after he pleaded guilty to federal tax crimes and was convicted of federal firearms charges earlier this year.
