The next COVID? Newsom DECLARES state of emergency for bird flu

President-elect Donald Trump had just one year left in office when the coronavirus pandemic swept through America and forever changed the way we live. And now he may be starting his next presidency with a new virus threat.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has just declared a state of emergency because the H1N1 bird flu is considered a potential pandemic-level threat.

His announcement comes after an American was hospitalized with a severe case of H1N1 several miles away in Louisiana.

Newsom insists he's simply making sure the agency has the resources and flexibility it needs to respond quickly. Sarah Gonzalez Sara Gonzalez Unfiltered's girlfriend isn't so sure she believes him.

“I have PTSD,” Gonzalez tells Steve Baker and Jason Butrill.

“COVID-19 has taught us a lot about what governments want to do and what they want to achieve,” Buttrill agrees. “This will only allow for a stricter lockdown as before.”

“I now look at everything as yet another excuse to do the same thing. “Call me a tinfoil hat guy, but this whole drone thing,'' he continued. , “What is the government trying to inoculate us with, what is it trying to make us accept?”

“Obviously things are happening in California right now, and that's going to be your mindset going forward,” he added.

“Every time I see something like this, I immediately jump to: Is there a vaccine that they're trying to sell us?” Gonzalez said the British government announced this month that there is a potential H5 influenza pandemic. We ask, noting that we have announced the purchase of 5 million doses of human H5 influenza vaccine to strengthen resilience in the event of an outbreak.

In June 2024, the European Commission signed a four-year contract with CSL Sekyrus to secure 665,000 pre-pandemic vaccines. In May 2024, the company was selected by the U.S. government to supply 4.8 million doses of H5 vaccine to the National Pre-Pandemic Influenza Vaccine Stockpile Program.

“And today, we're declaring a state of emergency for this particular bird flu,” Gonzalez said, adding that Baker added, “If it's an emergency, the government will provide funding.” Ta.
