President-elect Donald Trump said he would issue an executive order ordering the government to recognize “only two genders, male and female.”

Trump also promised to “end child sexual mutilation” and protect women by keeping men out of women's sports.
“From day one, my stroke of the pen will stop transgender insanity,” Trump said. “And I'm signing an executive order to end child sexual mutilation. We'll kick transgender people out of the military and out of elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools.”
“And we will prevent men from participating in women's sports,” Trump added. “And that happens on the first day as well. Should it be on the first, second, or third day? What about day one? Under the Trump administration, there are only two genders: male and female. That will be the official policy of the U.S. government.
President Trump's words came as the Florida House of Representatives passed a bill in March 2023 that would define sex as an “immutable biological property,” and would “attempt to attribute pronouns that indicate the opposite.” Any attempt is a mistake,” he added.
The bill, HB 1069, later passed the Florida Senate; signed By Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (Republican).
As Breitbart News' Warner Todd Huston previously reported, President Trump criticized policies that allow men to participate in women's sports, calling them “too common sense” that could “really hurt” people. He said it was an “outrageous idea.”
“So you want to see the country come together. But there's a very conservative side and a very conservative side, and then there's also people who want open borders and things. Many Oti are too far away,” Trump explained. “For example, they want men to participate in women's sports. I don't think you can ever say you're excited about that. I've seen people get really hurt. I’ve seen it.”
In October, the Trump campaign released a video during a campaign rally criticizing the awakening of the US military under the Biden administration. The video ended with the words, “Let's make our military great again.”
