Orlando, Florida (W.F.L.A.) — A boy required open-heart surgery after multiple drones suddenly fell from the sky at a holiday show in Orlando, Florida. The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating.
Adrianna Edgerton, the mother of a 7-year-old boy, told local news outlets. Wesh She said she and her family were watching a holiday drone show at Lake Eola. Video footage obtained by the news agency showed multiple drones suddenly colliding and plowing into the crowd.

She said Sunday that her son was undergoing open heart surgery for his injuries, but there was no further announcement about his condition.

The FAA said in a statement Sunday that it is investigating the incident.
“Drone arrays and light shows are subject to FAA regulations,” the statement said. “Typically, these events require exemptions from regulations that prohibit the flight of more than one drone at a time. We will thoroughly review your application.”
