A 7-year-old Florida boy who was injured when a drone crashed into a crowd during a holiday air show over the weekend has undergone open heart surgery, his parents announced.
Alexander's parents, Adriana Edgerton and Jessica Lumsden, said one of the red and green-lit drones struck him, knocking him unconscious and sustaining injuries to his chest. fox orlando Reported.

The cause of the drone's problems was not clear.
Sky Elements Drones, the drone show's vendor, told the press that it “sincerely wishes a full and speedy recovery to those affected” at the show.
“The health of our viewers is our top priority, and we regret any inconvenience or inconvenience this may have caused,” the company said in a statement. “We are working diligently with the FAA and City of Orlando officials to investigate the cause and get a clear picture of what happened. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the problem.
Drone arrays and light shows are subject to FAA regulations and typically require exemptions from regulations that prohibit the operation of more than one drone at a time, the agency said.
