Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, died on Sunday at the age of 100.
Many Americans pay tribute to the farmer and former one-term governor of Georgia, highlighting his integrity and dedication to humanity.
While running for president, Carter was seen flying on the Peanut One while campaigning, a reminder of his humble days as a peanut farmer.

“Jimmy Carter shook the hand of every single person on the plane every time he flew Delta because that's who he was. He treated people like people,” the post read.
Video taken by a Delta passenger shows President Carter greeting everyone on board and shaking hands with everyone on the plane.

Mr. Carter won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his work in finding peaceful solutions to international conflicts, brokering peace between Israel and Egypt, and his humanitarian work.

“Although the world will long remember his many contributions to democracy, I am deeply honored by the countless days he spent with Habitat for Humanity International around the world and by his many contributions to democracy. I will never forget the time he spent shaking hands with each Delta customer and employee who flew with us,” Bastian's post said.

She added: “There is much we can learn from his kindness, compassion and humility; [his wife] Rosalynn meant so much to all of us at Delta and will be sorely missed. ”
