Americans of a certain age will remember the success of the Ronald Reagan era in the 1980s. Throughout his presidential term, there was a sense that America was “back.” Taxes were reduced by double digits. Americans were making more money on investments. Inflation was falling. Purchasing a home has become easier. America was producing the best movies and music, and personal computers were making their way into people's homes. We were cracking down on violent crime and drugs. Our military was being rebuilt, and the Soviet Union was at a disadvantage. Plain and simple, America was thriving.
A poll this fall found that 80% of Americans believe there is a wide divide on important issues. But in this moment, on President Trump's second inauguration, our nation has a glorious new opportunity to come together and cheer again. If President Trump succeeds, we will all succeed together.
It's no secret that the past four years have been needlessly difficult for Americans. Joe Biden's open borders policies have looted cities and bankrupted national budgets. Fentanyl has flowed into our schools and neighborhoods, poisoning our children. Four decades of high inflation have made Americans even poorer, and high interest rates have put homeownership out of reach for young people. Overregulation is strangling our industry. Virtually all of President Biden's policy decisions have pushed America to last place.

But with Donald Trump, a new golden age could become a reality. He promised to make America safe, strong, and prosperous again. He proved that promise before he could fulfill it. Life will be better for every family in his second term. We have a plan to get there.
President Trump will deregulate industry, reinvigorate the pioneering spirit of innovation, and revitalize a stagnant economy. He will restore US energy dominance by ending Biden's war on US energy. And he will work with Congress to block the largest tax increase in U.S. history. Our economy will grow, businesses will prosper, and workers will have more money.

Thanks to President Trump, our borders will be closed to human traffickers, drug cartels, and terrorists, and crime will decrease across the country.
President Trump understands the need to maintain peace through force. He is working hard to energize our military and make our enemies fear us. Already, President Trump's bullish stance is guiding our society. It forced the enemy to call off its missile attacks and forced the terrorists to return to the negotiating table regarding American hostages. And if Trump refocuses our military to be lethal, warrior, and responsive, we will maintain our status as the last great superpower.

Common sense will be a central theme of the Trump presidency. We all want parents to be responsible for their children, not school bureaucrats, women-only sports and spaces protected, and no one punished or shamed for not agreeing with the radical gender insanity of the far left. I want a world where people don't lose their lives. Americans know in their hearts what is right, and re-honoring it will restore strength, dignity, and national pride.
