In his inaugural address Monday, President Donald Trump said God saved his life to “make America great again.”
Trump was officially sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on Monday. In his inaugural address, Trump spoke optimistically about the future, claiming divine intervention had made it possible for him to serve another term.
“We are now entering the greatest four years in American history. With your help, we will restore America's promise and rebuild the country we love. ”
“Those who try to stop our cause are trying to take away my freedom and, in fact, take my life,” Trump said during his speech. “Just a few months ago, in a beautiful Pennsylvania field, an assassin's bullet shot through my ear. But I knew then, and even more so now, that my life was saved for a reason. I thought it was stolen.”
President Trump said, “I was saved by God to make America great again.''
President Trump also vowed to once again put America first and restore faith in a system that many have lost faith in.
President Trump began his speech by saying, “In every day of the Trump administration, I will, quite simply, put America first.'' “Our sovereignty will be restored and our security restored. The scales of justice will be rebalanced and the vicious, violent and unjust weaponization of the Department of Justice and our government will end.”
President Trump also spoke of this new political era as a “revolution of common sense” and said he aimed to achieve it through a series of historic executive orders. President Trump could sign more than 200 executive orders, ranging from border security to ending birthright citizenship to eliminating federal DEI programs.
“We are on the precipice of the greatest four years in American history,” President Trump said. “With your help, we will restore the promise of America and rebuild the country we love.”
President Trump added, “We are one people, one family, and one glorious nation under God.” “So to every parent who dreams for their children, and to every child who dreams of their future, I stand with you. I will fight for you. And I will fight for you. I will win.”
