On Friday's broadcast of HBO's “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said that the tech workers who attended President Donald Trump's inauguration “have been driven to the right by an exclusive mean woman. If you don't agree 100% with what I think, you can say so.” The left part of “We will chase you, we will try to cancel you.''
Maher said, “I saw them all at the inauguration, and I think they called it a technology fight. …Musk, Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos…Peter Thiel…Tim Cook. …I think it's very interesting that he was there, not all of them, like Zuckerberg and Joe Rogan. Elon Musk certainly wasn't.”
Maher agreed with ESPN host Stephen A. Smith when he said he thought these people “were bullied four years ago,” adding, “It's a very personal thing.” said.
Maher further stated:[I]I think it's because of some problems with the Democratic Party and the left that I always complain about. That's also why they don't want me anymore, they can shit themselves. But the difference between me and those guys is that they're not going to put me in the worst situation. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) said it's the Republicans who are threatening people, and Maher agreed. Khanna added that the Democratic Party does have problems and needs to be more respectful of opposing voices.
