On Monday, President Donald Trump nominated Washington's former Congress, Joe Kent, to be the director of the National Terrorism Center.
Trump pointed out Kent's extensive experience and focused on his career in his service and intelligence. Kent also ran for Congress in the third district of Washington in 2022 and 2024, but he was only a few. defeat Democratic incumbent Marie Gres Senkamp Perez.

As many of Trump's candidates, Kent is subject to confirmation of the Senate. If confirmed, Kent will lead the NCTC established after a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. In his role, he will answer the director of the National Information Bureau. Trump nominated TULSI Gabbard for DNI.
