Tables turned on Los Angeles arson suspect in caught-on-cam takedown

As the area handles the aftermath of the wildfire, a group of residents made the arrest of the citizens after finding a man who was allegedly flapping a brush in a Los Angeles neighborhood.

Alejandro Martinez, 41, is facing arson charges, according to the LA County Sheriff's Office.

A video posted on Instagram by journalist Gabe Cortez and obtained by Fox News Digital showed a man driving down the road chased by people in a car in a neighborhood in Chatsworth, a neighborhood in LA.

The video captured the relevant residents who took the issue into his own hands and tackled Martinez.

The sheriff's deputies arrived in the neighborhood after the citizens' arrest.

Traffic News LA photographer Brandon Taylor said he was taking photos in the area after he was warned of a brush fire in the area.

For neighbors, the suspicious arson goes home as many Los Angeles residents continue to pick up their works after a devastating wildfire has been destroyed.

“The residents were furious,” Taylor said. “They went through the Woolsey fire that started just a mile from there. With all the dry vegetation, they were really worried that he would start another fire and lose his home.”

Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to contact the LA County Sheriff's Office. Chatsworth is a drive about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
