An early morning Brooklyn apartment saw one man die in a hospital and two other people, including a young boy, police said.
According to the NYPD, authorities responded to a 911 call about a flame that broke out in a four-storey brick building on 80th Avenue near Fifth Avenue in Bay Ridge around 3:40 a.m.
When officers and firefighters arrived, they found an unconscious 37-year-old man who had rushed to Brooklyn, the Nyu Langone hospital.

But the victims didn't make it, police said.
Officers also found the injured 34-year-old woman and a two-year-old boy and brought them both to the same hospital in stable condition.
FDNY is investigating the cause of the fire, and inspectors will determine the cause of the man's death, officers said.
Authorities have not been appointed as the deceased victim, and that is not the case until his family is told.
The apartment is located on top of mussels and other seafood restaurants that occupies the first floor of the building.
