Progressive columnist Mehdi Hasan faced fierce backlash on social media after claiming that Gaza had not invaded Israel in the horrifying terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023.
The former MSNBC anchor attempted to shut down Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas. defense President Donald Trump's proposal is to take over Gaza, remove residents and develop the land.

“Not only did Gaza not invade Israel, but the US illegally invaded Iraq and committed massacres in the process, so will the US lose its sovereignty as per the theory of the cotton world?” I responded.
The strange claim that there was no invasion of Israel from Gaza has elicited anger at social media. Hasan's intention was to separate the Hamas terrorists and the Gaza people who coordinated the attack.

About 3,800 extremists and another 2,200 civilians joined Israel for terrorist attacks that allowed terrorists to take 250 hostages.
Hasan held a show on MSNBC before being cancelled and announced that she would be leaving the network in November 2023. Many Muslim viewers have denounced racist networks over their decisions.
