Top NY Dems working to topple Eric Adams for embracing Trump deportation policies: Report

Democrat government's Kathy Hochul reportedly I'm considering Several New York City officials removed Eric Adams from his mayoral post after resigning from his administration.

First vice mayor Maria Torres Springer and vice mayors Meera Joshi, Anne Williams Isam and Chauncy Parker all resigned on Monday. After his resignation, Hochul will hold a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the declining “advanced” of the Adams administration.

“I think they used the term 'You weren't a good Democrat',” Adams said. “I think that was their philosophy.'

“If we feel we cannot serve at the city hall at this time, we will raise serious questions about the long-term future of this mayoral administration.” I said Former staff member in Monday's statement.

Hochul also cited “suspected conduct” at City Hall, implying that Adams could be removed from his mayor's post.

“I recognize the immeasurable responsibility I hold as governor and the constitutional authority I have given to this office,” Hochul said in a statement. “In New York's 235-year history, these powers have never been used to eliminate a formally elected mayor. Reversing the will of voters should not be underestimated. It's a step.”

“That being said, the suspect's actions at city hall that have been reported over the past two weeks are both troublesome and cannot be ignored,” Hochul added. “Tomorrow I asked key leaders to meet in my Manhattan office for a conversation about the path to advance, with the goal of ensuring stability in New York City.”

Much of the conflict and administration surrounding Adams over the past few weeks has revolved around a sudden embrace of President Donald Trump's deportation policy.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Adams admitted that when he spoke to the Biden administration about the immigration crisis, he was told to “become a good Democrat.”

“I think they used the term 'You weren't a good Democrat',” Adams said. “I think that was their philosophy. I was supposed to quietly see what was going on in this city, and I love it.”

Honestly, Adams couldn't afford to be a “good Democrat” anymore. The New York City immigration crisis was flooded with expectations of endless welfare and subsidies from schools and communities, costing billions of dollars to taxpayers. Adams' approach changed after realising they could no longer make a bill.

In doing so, Adams held multiple meetings with Border Emperor Tom Homan.

“He's here working on the illegal public safety threats and helping to find these missing children,” Homan said of Adams.

“I think New York City is safer,” Homan said. “I think New York City is trying to send a strong message.”
