Ed Dept. to Investigate Maine for Defying Trump EO Protecting Girls’ Sports

The U.S. Department of Education has released a Maine Department of Education (MDOE) investigation amid claims that it continues to allow men to play on women's sports teams in opposition to President Donald Trump's executive order.

The investigation publicly said last week that a Maine school sports official planned to violate Trump's orders to protect sports and spaces for women and girls in support of state laws that allow “gender identities.” It will happen later. The transgender-identifying boy then won the state's high school pole vault competition on Monday.

“Maine will make us believe there is no option to treat women and girls in athletics, that is, to follow state laws and allow male athletes to compete with women and girls.” The deputy vice-secretary of the civil rights trainer said in a statement, but that continued.

Let's be clear: If Maine wants to continue receiving federal funds from the Department of Education, it must follow Title IX. If you want to waive federal funds and continue to stomp on the rights of young female athletes, that's also the option. The OCR does it all with its power to ensure that taxpayers don't fund blatant civil rights violators.

The Department's Civil Rights Office (OCR) has written to Maine Department of Education Pendermackin, who announced the investigation amid the allegations that “it is.”“We continue to allow male athletes to compete in aggression athletics between women, denying female-only intimate facilities for female athletes, thereby violating federal differentiation laws,” the agency press release stated in.

The letter also informed the MDOE that the OCR is investigating Maine School District #51 (MSAD #51). The teenager claimed victory at the main class B championship for the Greeley High School track and field team on Monday.

The investigation follows a public smackdown from Trump on February 20th, and if Maine continues to allow men to play on women's sports teams at a Republican Governors Association dinner, Maine said there is a risk of losing federal funds.

On Friday, Trump called on Maine Gov. Janet Mills (d) in her face during a governor's meeting at the White House for refusing to follow his orders.

“We're federal law. If you don't, you're not going to get federal funds, so you'd better do that… your population also wants men in women's sports. Not,” Trump said. “You will comply better, or you have no federal funds.

“See you in court,” replied Mills.

“Good. See you in court, it should be really easy,” Trump fought back. “Enjoy your life after the governor, I don't think you're in an elected office.”

Mills and Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey have it. Pledge To fight Trump.

President Trump signature An executive order banning transgender athletes from playing in women and girls' sports on February 5th. As a result, the federal government's Title IX rule was changed to its effectiveness, and schools refusing to comply with the order risks that federal funds were withdrawn.

Last week, Main Principal Association (MPA) Confirmed Not following Trump's executive orders to protect women's sports.

“The Executive Order and Maine Human Rights Act are in conflict, and the Maine Principals Association (MPA) is following state laws on gender identity,” said Mike Burnham, executive director of the MPA.

Burnham added that “we are directing all Maine schools to comply with Maine Human Rights Act,” and that it would not implement any opposition policies.

“MPA staff will closely monitor updates from federal and state officials regarding the potential impact of the President's executive order on high school sports participation and adjust policies accordingly,” Burnham said. .

Athletic associations in both California and Minnesota have rejected orders to protect Trump's order, women's and women's sports teams from invasion by male athletes transporting them.

In response, Trump's Ministry of Education Sent Last week, a letter to the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) and the California Governance Federation (CIF) informs the organization that it is under investigation by the department's Office of Civil Rights (OCR).
