Xi says China, Russia true friends as Trump pursues Putin talks

Chinese leader Xi Jinping says China and Russia are true friends after talking to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone.

Xi reportedly stated that history and reality were good neighbors and allies that support each other. China's state media reported On Monday, XI and Putin planned relations between the two countries throughout the year, adding that they “strengthened coordination on a series of major international and regional issues.”

This is the development of the nation where President Trump has placed more tariffs on China and aims to increase ties with Moscow to end the war in Ukraine while disbanding Russia-China partnerships. It's the latest in the country.

Trump administration officials essentially sidelined Ukraine and other allies by meeting with Russian negotiators without the participation of Kiev. Trump also accused Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky of causing war, saying he is a dictator.

Former UN ambassador Susan Rice expressed concern that such involvement could lead to the impact that XI wanted to take over Taiwan. She said Trump was “explicitly” adjusting herself with Putin, and questioning what kind of message it would send to XI.

Democrat Jim Himez (Conn.) also questioned the message the ceasefire sent to China, saying XI wakes up every day and wonders if today is the day he will break into Taiwan. Ta.
