Mexican drug cartel leaders have faced years of federal accusations of allegedly trafficking drugs domestically to sell to American citizens.
According to federal prosecutors, Jesus Ricardo Patron Sanchez, 39, was handed over from Mexico to face charges related to drug trafficking in New York City.
Sanchez went with his nicknames “Diobolical”, “Xmen” and “James Bond”, but is said to work as the head of the “cruelly violent” H-2 drug cartel.

Prosecutors allege that under Sanchez's direction, H-2 transported cocaine, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine to the United States monthly from June 2013 to December 2016. , North Carolina, Ohio and Los Angeles, to trade “a lot” of drugs, officials said.

Sanchez is said to have worked to coordinate the money laundering business to send funds back from the US to Mexico to ensure that profits from sales have returned to Sanchez and other leaders' pockets.
The DEA estimates that H-2 distributes hundreds of kilograms of illegal drugs to American citizens, earning millions of dollars while promising numerous murders between 2013 and 2017.
Sanchez, a Mexican resident, was arrested in Mexico in February 2019 on a preliminary arrest warrant issued by the United States, which was handed over to Brooklyn, New York six years later.

Last week, Sanchez was charged with accusations of leading an ongoing criminal enterprise, taking part in a massive drug distribution conspiracy and using one or more firearms in connection with a drug crime.
If convicted, Sanchez faces a mandatory life sentence in prison.
