Left-wing Tesla fans, formerly a core supporter of Elon Musk's EV, are now selling vehicles in protest of Musk's political support for Donald Trump. Encouraged by celebrities, labeling Tesla vehicles as “sw” is now a virtue signal on the left.
Guardian Report Some of Tesla's most enthusiastic supporters have shown that they are offloading their valuable electric vehicles, citing the increasingly active role of CEO Elon Musk in the Trump administration. Musk's EV has always found the most enthusiastic support among the left who is eager to demonstrate environmentalism.
One self-proclaimed “True Tesla Fanboy” enthusiastically placed CyberTruck deposits in 2019. However, he recently traded for an Acura for a Model 3 performance and bought the Ford F-150 Lightning instead of waiting for Cybertock to arrive. “I didn't want to be troubled by vehicles that were very bad,” he explained. “When you own such a vehicle, you advertise for that company.”
The former fanboy is not alone in his disillusionment. Dozens of posts have emerged from Tesla owners across social media platforms. Some even post photos of themselves making lewd gestures towards their previous vehicles. One woman claims she is calling her mother to tell her, “I'm selling Nazi mobile phones.”
The backlash against Musk and Tesla has emerged in nationwide protests, with demonstrators gathering outside showrooms in major cities, with slogans like “Hey, Hay, Ho and Elon Musk have to go.” Rebel websites and social media accounts have multiplied, encouraging people to distribute stickers and posters with slogans such as “Don't buy sw.”

Lucy Grace Nelson, a 40-year-old man who identified as a transgender woman, was arrested Monday night following “several” cases of vandalism at a Loveland Tesla dealership and a “stimulating device” was found at the scene,” police said Wednesday.
An investigation by the Loveland Police Station, which began on January 29, was arrested when Nelson was allegedly “returned to Loveland Tesla while in possession of additional burnt device devices, along with materials caused by vandalism.”
Celebrities are leading the accusations to a signal of virtue by abandoning Teslaev, which they once thought was a sign of green qualifications. Singer Sheryl Crowe recently sold Tesla and donated proceeds to NPR, but Elvira's most famous actress, Cassandra Peterson, quickly followed suit.
