Trump announces he received letter from Zelensky asking to come to ‘negotiating table’ again after Ukraine prez was booted from White House

President Trump announced Tuesday that he had received a letter from Ukrainian President Voldymi Zelensky asking them to come again at the “negotiation table” after the two leaders had a massive tiff in the White House and then ended without a mineral trade that would create a joint Ukraine fund.

“Today, I received an important letter from Ukrainian President Zelensky, which states, “Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiation table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Trump said in his speech to Congress.

The Ukrainian president also repeated in a letter that Kiev would sign a mineral trade with the United States.

The president said he was “thank you” for the letter and also said he was getting a signal from Russia that they were ready for peace.

The letter appeared to be a positive development in US-crane relations after Trump and Zelensky confrontation on Friday, after the Ukrainian president left Trump after he ended without a deal, and after Trump suspending US aid to Ukraine on Monday.

Vice President JD Vance pointed out that at the Capitol on Tuesday, the Trump team was waiting for “private” communication channels from Ukrainians.

The VP also said that military aid could be turned on again with proper communication.

Zelensky addressed some of Trump's concerns in the early X-Post Tuesday, writing that Ukraine is ready for peace.

“Our meeting in Washington on Friday at the White House wasn't exactly what it should have been. It's a shame that it happened in this way. It's time to get things right. I hope that future cooperation and communication will be constructive,” Zelensky writes.

“None of us wants an infinite war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiation table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. No one wants peace more than the Ukrainians. My team and I are ready to work under the strong leadership of President Trump.
