Rep. Tim Barchett (R-TN) warned President Donald Trump not to allow him to spend his government efficiency (DOGE) savings through the “pinning of war in the Pentagon,” he said: Breitbart News Daily.
Burchett said he spoke about his recent meeting with Trump with lawmakers and told him the truth about his concerns about the budget. He cried out in the middle of the meeting that he had a very “hearted relationship” with Trump.
“I said, President, my biggest fear is this, you're making all these big cuts in the Doge. And all the dollars will be absorbed into the war battles in the Pentagon and the war war of Congress. And I said, your problem wouldn't come from the Marxists on the left side of the Democrats. I said it would come from the Republicans. And I said, you got about 100, 150 days before this bunch turned you on. They'll start making – they'll start cutting edges, the same people who did it before, that same machine,” he said.
“It's not a swamp, it's a sewer. And I call them the cries of war. And soon the conversation turned to it. And my buddy, Corey Mills, the military guy, he can–he's far more eloquent than me, and he began to explain what it would turn out. And you know, it just went from there,” he said.

“That's my concern because all this money we're saving from Doge is something you remember. The Pentagon never passed an audit,” he said.
“They can't explain more than $50 trillion. That's an aircraft carrier they can't explain. …I just made that claim. I'm everything for the military,” he said, but he pointed out that some Republicans use this against them if they don't pay attention.
He prayed for the president, adding that it was “a new chapter in America.”
“And we really have one shot on this thing. If Trump can't pull this off, the next thing can drive us further off that cliff,” he added.
