Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has joined the social media platform Truth Social, founded by Donald Trump.

Mr. Trump launched Truth Social in 2021, following his ban from Twitter, now known as X. He regularly posts on the platform and shares updates on important issues, including his administration’s cabinet choices.
Modi formed close ties with Trump during his first presidential term, attending a massive rally in Houston and welcoming Trump to India in 2020, where thousands gathered to hear the two leaders speak.
By Tuesday, Modi had posted four times on Truth Social, including his most recent post, in which he welcomed Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines to India.
