Elon Musk expressed his anger on Thursday in a flash of vandalism, launching an attack targeting Tesla owners and dealers, describing his violence against the electric car company as “a great mistake.”
“I think there's a big mistake being made for Tesla people and customers,” the Doge chief told Fox News to Bret Baier, host of “Special Report.”
“I mean, Tesla is a peaceful company that has made great cars, great products. That's all,” Musk, 53 insisted.
“No one is doing any harm, but people are still committing violence.”
Tesla's cars, dealers and charging stations are being targeted nationwide by vandals and arsonists in evidently protesting Musk's work, leading the Trump administration's environmental efficiency department.
The attack ranges from the vehicle being locked and dirty with anti-Trump graffiti to being shot in fire, with the charging station being similarly to being torched with Molotov cocktails.
According to the billionaire tech giant, Tesla employees and Musk themselves are also facing death threats.
“What are they doing this for? Why?” he said.
“What's going on, it's to me, they're given propaganda on the far left, and they believe it. It's really unhappy,” Musk said, “The real problem” was “not the crazy guy bombing Tesla dealers, but the people who pushed that publicity did it.”
“These are the real villains here and we're going to chase them,” a Trump administration official warned.
One-on-one with Baier – during that time, a young child, perhaps Musk's 4-year-old son X, could hear he's restless in the background, but the Doge chief was asked to reveal something about Trump that most people don't know.
“I think the president is a good guy. I think he's an honest guy. He doesn't see him doing anything wrong, he's going to say I'm morally wrong,” he replied.
“It's never happened.”
