Man wanted for Washington state Tesla Supercharger station arson: FBI

The FBI recently released video footage of a masked man. The agency says it is responsible for lighting up and lighting the Tesla Supercharger Station in Washington.

At about 1:30am on Tuesday, the man allegedly sparked a fire at the Tesla Supercharger at Lacey's South Sound Center.

Lacy Police Station Officials confirmed in a statement that received multiple 911 calls reporting loud noise in the area.

“The fire caused significant damage to the station and its surrounding area,” according to a statement from the FBI Seattle.

According to the FBI, men can suffer “injuries” that are consistent with an explosion or close to a severe fever, such as an explosion, burn or watering injury.

However, officials did not specifically state that the fire was caused by the explosion.

The suspect is said to be a white man between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet 2. He wore a hood, gray pants and a dark jacket over his face at the time of the incident.

According to the FBI, he was seen in security footage carrying a white bag that could have been plastic.

The incident comes after the FBI issued a notice indicating that Tesla vehicles, chargers and dealers have been targeted in at least nine states since January.

The incidents involving arson, shootouts and vandalism came after a nationwide backlash against Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, appointed by the president Donald Trump As a policy advisor to the Government Efficiency Bureau (DOGE).

Officials are asking anyone near the Target and Cole store at South Sound Center, as well as the Cheharis West Tank Ree Trail to check doorbells and security camera footage that could indicate the man was in his car on Monday night or Tuesday morning.

Tesla and Target did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

The Lacey Police Department declined to request comment from Fox News Digital.
