Larry David Trashes Bill Maher Visiting Trump in ‘My Dinner with Adolf’ NYT Op-Ed

comedian, Seinfeld Co-creators and Please suppress your enthusiasm Star Larry David has visited the White House and had dinner with President Trump, destroying liberal comedian Bill Maher.

With a satirical operation for New York TimeS, Title: “My Dinner with Adolf,” David explains the fantasy scenario in which he met Adolf Hitler and other Nazi leaders for a friendly and heartfelt dinner, as if Maher had been fooled. He does not mention Maher or Trump by name.

David visits Hitler writing, “No one has encouraged me to go,” and then visits after he was critical of the tyranny from the start. David also characterizes Maher’s desire to speak to more right-trust people who are essentially embracing the Nazis.

Two weeks later I found myself on the stairs in front of the old prime minister and was led into a luxurious living room where some of Fuhler’s most vocal supporters gathered: Himmler, Goering, Leni Liefenstahl, former King Edward Viii. We talked about the beautiful art on the walls taken from Jewish homes. However, our conversation ended abruptly when we heard a loud footstep in the hallway. When Hitler entered the room, everyone stiffened.

He wore a Swastika armband and a tan suit, giving me a frenzy of surprise greet. Frankly, it was a warmer greeting than I usually get from my parents, and it was accompanied by a slap on my back. I found everything to be very disarmed. I joked that I was surprised to see him wearing a tan suit because if he was wearing it it would be perceived as non-fuller. It didn’t finish him, so I realized I had never seen him laugh before. Suddenly he looked very human.

The fictional dinner that David describes includes awful jokes about murdering Jews and other atrocities. David, in his fictional self, gives Hitler the “Sieg Heil,” and says, “I oppose a lot of issues, but that doesn’t mean we need to hate each other.”

Bill Maher has not yet responded to Larry David’s work, but Trump said he looked elegant and measured it at dinner with the president.

“He’s much more self-aware than he allows in public. “I consider this person to be positive because it was everything I didn’t like about him.

“I didn’t feel like I had to walk on the eggshells around him, and honestly, I voted for Clinton and Obama, but I’m never comfortable talking to them in a way that allows me to talk to Donald Trump.
