Trump signs executive order on ‘commonsense’ school discipline policies, artificial intelligence, foreign gifts, and HBCUs

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump added to the heap of executive orders he issued in his second term, order On “general” school discipline, artificial intelligence and other policies.

School discipline order Terminated policy In 2014, “by imposing discipline based on racial traits and not just objective behavior, schools effectively required discrimination based on race.”

“Disciplinary decisions should be based solely on students’ actions and actions.”

The order cited a 2018 report from the Federal Commission on School Safety. This said the school simply hides the behavior of bad students, keeps students in class, putting all students at risk. The year was cancelled that year, but was again carried out in 2023, with an increase in school violence and classroom disability.

Another order called for students to be instructed on using artificial intelligence.

“The basic idea of this executive order is to ensure that as AI becomes bigger and bigger deals, young Americans will train their future workforce properly by ensuring that they are properly trained with AI tools.”

Another order aims to reduce diversity, equity and inclusion policies from university accreditation, and return to focusing on merit and performance.

Other orders provide assistance to historically black universities and universities, highlighting laws relating to disclosure of foreign gifts.

“The sector will work with the initiative and HBCU to expand its partnership and share best practices to help the institution become a hub for opportunities and economic engines for local industry and employers,” McMahon said.
