Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) on Thursday said CNN's “arena” was abusing the Trump administration to alien enemies for deportation.
Host Casey Hunt said: “There was also a ruling from a federal judge, a judge designated by Trump. In fact, the use of alien enemies acts to deport people from Venezuela, where the administration claims to be part of the gang.
Van Hollen said, “What we are experiencing here in this country is an invasion from a foreign government is a complete abuse of the alien enemy. This was a judge who could not do so by looking at the facts.
He said, “They did the same in these cases where they are restraining students for speech. It's not a question of whether you like their speech or not. They have the right to free speech. As you see, this administration is violating the law and the constitution. By the way, when it comes to tariffs, they do things that are abused and not legally empowered under the emergency economic force.”
