Doge has reportedly saved over $160 billion.

As reported by Breitbart, that translates to around $993.79 in savings for each taxpayer.

Breitbart mentioned:

According to the latest information on the Doge website, the government’s Department of Efficiency (DOGE) has achieved significant savings, totaling $160 billion.

This amount comes from various efforts, including “asset sales, contract cancellations, fraud removal, grant cancellations, interest savings, program adjustments, regulatory savings, and workforce cutbacks.” Essentially, that’s about $993.79 saved per taxpayer.

Recently, Doge reported on its success in eliminating wasteful contracts, canceling 179 in just two days. These contracts had a maximum value of $1.87 billion, leading to $280 million in savings. Specific examples include a $1.8 million agreement for “Energy and Climate Advisory Services,” a $207K contract for a “Grant Writing Workshop,” and an $89K Ministry of Treasury contract for managing the “Namibia Country Program.”

Meanwhile, Elon Musk is stepping back from his role at Doge to refocus on his business.

NBC News noted:

Musk announced Wednesday that he is transitioning away from the nearly constant involvement in government efficiency to concentrate on his business endeavors.

“We’re finding a better rhythm now,” Musk stated to White House reporters, adding that he has significantly less time to dedicate here and will mainly return to overseeing his company.

Doge continues to tackle waste, fraud, and abuse.
