Trump military parade costs could hit $45M

Next month, military parades and celebrations in the nation’s capital are projected to cost between $25 million and $45 million, as reported by Army officials.

An Army spokesperson confirmed that the June 14 parade, which marks the 250th anniversary of the service, could reach a total expense of up to $45 million. This estimate includes expenses for concerts and fireworks displays.

This parade aligns with Trump’s birthday and is set to showcase thousands of military vehicles, along with a substantial number of aircraft from Washington, D.C.

The festival is expected to feature around 150 vehicles and 50 aircraft, according to the spokesperson.

Additionally, thousands of soldiers will be accommodated in a federal office building. Currently, approximately 3,000 soldiers are expected to stay in parts of the General Services Administration Building, while another 2,000 might be stationed in agricultural facilities. Army officials mentioned that these figures could vary as the planning phase continues.

The event will include participants from nearly every Army division, as well as inactive veterans of the Vietnam War.

In a recent interview with “Meet the Press,” Trump expressed pride, stating, “We have the greatest missiles in the world. We have the greatest submarines in the world. We have the greatest army tanks in the world. We have the biggest weapon in the world, and we’re going to celebrate it.”

Preparations for the parade began last year, with local Washington officials collaborating. According to Army representatives, both Army and city engineers are currently conducting “route reconnaissance” for the event.
