Iran’s Supreme Leader Accuses Trump of Being a ‘Liar’ for Saying He Wants Peace in the Middle East

Iran’s Khamenei Criticizes Trump and U.S. Involvement in Israel

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, labeled President Donald Trump a liar, asserting that Trump claims to seek peace while referring to Israel as a “cancerous tumor” that must be eradicated.

“Trump said he wants to use his power for peace. He’s lying,” Khamenei shared on X-Post shortly after Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE.

“Some of the U.S. President’s comments during their travels to the region are not even worth responding to. The level of those comments is so low that it is a source of shame for the American nation,” he added.

Khamenei also criticized the Trump administration for supplying Israel with bombs made in the U.S. to support its actions in Gaza.

“Strength can be used for peace and security. That’s why we continue to strengthen ourselves and our nation every day,” Khamenei stated. “They used their forces to provide 10 tonnes of bombs to the Zionist regime, wherever they were in Gaza, hospitals, people’s homes, Lebanon, and elsewhere.”

These remarks were made in the context of Israel’s ongoing conflict with Hamas, during which many Palestinian areas have been devastated as Israel argues that terrorist groups are hiding within civilian structures.

Khamenei described Israel as “the source of corruption, war, and discord in this Western Asia region.”

“The dangerous and fatal cancerous tumors in West Asia must be eliminated,” he asserted. “Based on local decisions, the U.S. must and will leave West Asia.”

On the other hand, President Trump condemned the Iranian regime and threatened to eliminate Iranian oil exports entirely.

“Iranian leaders have focused on stealing ethnic wealth to fund fear and bloodshed overseas,” Trump stated.

Despite the ongoing tensions, Iran expressed a willingness to continue discussions with the U.S. regarding its nuclear program.

“We are negotiating and we are negotiating. It’s not postwar, but we are not afraid of threats,” Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian remarked.

“If they threaten us, it’s not that they think we’ll give up our human rights and clear rights,” he added. “We will not withdraw. We will not easily lose our honorable military, scientific, and nuclear capabilities in all areas.”

The Trump administration has urged Iran to agree to a nuclear deal or possibly face military action.

During Trump’s recent visit to the Middle East, he told reporters that Iran was “moving quickly” in negotiations but warned that “something bad will happen” if they don’t comply.

Trump added that Iran “caused unthinkable suffering in Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, Iraq, and Yemen.”

Negotiations between both sides are reportedly ongoing, although a significant point of contention remains whether Iran will be allowed to enrich uranium, which the Trump administration has opposed.
