Chicago Mayor Johnson labels President Donald Trump a ‘monster’

Chicago Mayor’s Controversial Comments on Trump

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has labeled President Donald Trump a “monster,” leading to accusations from U.S. Senators Mike Lee and R. Itah that the mayor has broken the law.

“We have condemned the president for his animus towards women and people of color, as well as working-class individuals,” Johnson remarked. He added, “We always knew who he was. This isn’t a surprise. He is a monster. His time is up. Our administration is the most diverse in Chicago’s history, and he feels threatened by that.”

Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for a response but did not hear back before publication.

DOJ Investigates Chicago for Racial Discrimination

The mayor’s passionate remarks come as the Department of Justice has initiated an investigation into potential racially-based discrimination in Chicago’s employment practices.

“Our investigation is founded on information that suggests employment decisions may have been influenced by race,” stated a letter from the Attorney General of the Civil Rights Bureau, signed by Harmeet Dhillon.

During a conversation with Dr. Byron T. Brager, pastor of the Apostle Church of God, Johnson highlighted the roles of Black individuals in his administration, saying, “When you ask about representation, it means we’re focused on the interests of everyone and ensuring our community has opportunities to grow their businesses.”

Reactions to Johnson’s Comments

Senator Mike Lee responded to Johnson’s remarks on social media, declaring that “racism is illegal.” He further criticized any form of discriminatory employment practices, emphasizing, “After Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson broke the law and bragged about it, his administration claims to oppose it, while he calls Trump a monster.” Lee’s frustrated tone suggests he believes the mayor is trying to deflect attention from his own actions.

Meanwhile, the mayor’s office has not provided any comments to Fox News Digital regarding the situation.
