Ally Bank Partners with USGA to Promote Women’s Golf
In early 2024, Ally Bank announced a collaboration with the USGA aimed at boosting women’s golf on a larger scale.
The upcoming US Women’s Open, set for next week at Erin Hills, Wisconsin, boasts the largest prize purse of this season’s LPGA Tour. Women’s sports have been calling out for significant financial support in golf, and Ally Bank is stepping up, drawing on their extensive experience in supporting the sport.
Just before the tournament kicks off, I had a chance to chat with Stephanie Marciano, who works in sports and entertainment at Ally. She shared insights about how closely Ally has collaborated with the USGA, focusing on the digital aspects and partnerships with broadcasters to create an ideal environment for these events.
“By partnering with USGA, we were able to build a partnership that serves our fans.”
Studies indicate that four out of five female sports fans recognize the ally brand, which helps to spark conversations right from the start. Stephanie emphasized that partnerships like the one with USGA can open up various opportunities for fans.
Ally is committed to lowering financial barriers for golfers with potential. They are promoting accessibility, particularly through a US clinic geared towards beginner golfers, primarily college women. This initiative, scheduled for the week of May 29th, aims to teach participants the game and how to leverage it for business networking.
Moreover, Marciano pointed out that beyond the clinic, Ally is a founding partner in the USGA’s national development program. While raising awareness about women’s involvement in golf is crucial, creating growth opportunities for the sport’s future is where the real impact lies.
For many, the US Women’s Open could be their first introduction to golf. Ally wants to ensure that this experience leads to many more positive encounters in the sport.
Consider Lilia Vu, currently sixth in the Rolex rankings, as a partner in Ally’s initiatives, helping to promote their mission. The overall aim is to showcase the joy and benefits golf can bring to anyone who engages with the game throughout their lives.
The US Women’s Open, presented by Ally, is viewed as one of the most thrilling events in the golf world.
This generates excitement and enthusiasm for the sport.
With Ally’s involvement, there’s no doubt that it will continue to thrive.
