DNC’s Food Truck Stunt Targets Republican Party

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) parked a food truck wrapped in a custom design outside the Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C., as a jab at their customs policy.

This prank drew significant backlash from conservative circles.

The DNC cleverly used the acronym “Taco,” which stands for “Trump always kicked out the chickens”—a phrase coined by Wall Street analysts to comment on Trump’s tariff policies. It implies that Trump may reintroduce the tariffs he announced back in April.

“Trump always kicks out chickens. We’re just matching tacos,” DNC Chairman Ken Martin told Fox News Digital regarding the initiative.

This tactic didn’t sit well with conservatives on social media, who pointed out it reflected Democrats struggling to convey a clear message during Trump’s presidency.

“The parties that brought you the famous ‘Dark Brandon’ and the ‘Republican strange’ campaigns are now involved in ‘Tacos,’” a user posted on X.

“We’re facing the greatest opposition in American history,” said Vice President JD Vance.

Another comment noted, “Democrats are just doing what they do best: cheap gimmicks and handouts, all while expecting someone else to cover the bill.”

In response, Mike Marinella, a spokesman for the NRCC, had a good laugh about the stunt. He said the DNC should have parked their truck in a church a block away, criticizing their poor execution, and added, “You can’t make stupid corrections.”

RNC Communications Director Zack Parkinson chimed in, questioning the stunt’s intention and expressing disbelief about the Democratic Party’s low approval ratings.

DNC Associate Communications Director Abhi Rahman called out Vance on his social media post, referring to him as “the most whimsical VP in American history.” He emphasized that Vance allegedly prefers to take food from struggling Americans rather than support them.

Earlier this week, conservative commentators also targeted Representative Eric Swalwell for a TikTok video where he joked about Trump’s tariff policy while eating tacos, labeling it “amazing.”
