(News Nation) – Israel recently launched a significant attack on Iran, striking a blow to its military capabilities.
This operation focused on Iranian nuclear sites, ballistic missile factories, and high-ranking military individuals, aiming to thwart Tehran’s atomic ambitions. Reports indicate that at least three major military officials and six nuclear scientists were killed in the strike.
Sources have also stated that over 20 Iranian commanders lost their lives, including Aerospace Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh.

Iranian Commanders
- Major General Goramari Rashid led the IRGC’s Khatam Al Anbia headquarters. Previously, he was the deputy chief of staff for the Iranian army and fought during the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s.
- General Hossein Salami was the head of the Iranian Elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), appointed by Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in 2019.
- General Mohammad Bagheri was a former IRGC commander and has been the chief of staff of the Iranian military since 2016. He joined the security forces during the Iran-Iraq War.
- Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh was the head of the Aerospace Forces of the Revolutionary Guards and was identified by Israel as a key figure involved in directing air attacks on Israeli territory. He was previously linked to the downing of a Ukrainian passenger plane following retaliatory strikes against U.S. targets.
Nuclear Scientists
- Fereydoun Abbasi-Davani was the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization from 2011 to 2013 and served in Congress from 2020 to 2024.
- Mohammad Medi Tehranchi was the president of Islamic Azad University in Tehran.
The attack also claimed the lives of four other scientists: Abdulamid Manushu, Ahmad Reza Zorfari, Amirihossein Fegi, and Motari Vizadeh.
