Trump Provided Iran with Many Chances to Reach an Agreement

House Speaker’s Remarks on US Actions in Iran

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) stated on Saturday that the US has conducted military operations at Iran’s nuclear sites.

He mentioned, “These actions should remind President Trump of his commitments, both to his allies and enemies.” Johnson argued that the president had offered Iranian leaders numerous chances to finalize contracts, yet Iran declined to engage in a nuclear disarmament agreement. “Trump has always been clear: Iran with nuclear weapons is intolerable, and now that stance is backed by decisive action.”

Johnson labeled this move as “America’s first policy action.” He emphasized that the president’s choice aims to prevent the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, promoting anti-American sentiments, from acquiring one of the most dangerous weapons available. “God supports our courageous military personnel, the most formidable fighting force globally, and we pray for their safe return,” he added.

Later that evening, President Trump announced that the US had executed a “successful attack” on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities: Fordou, Natanz, and Esfahan, urging Iran to pursue peace.

Trump stated, “We successfully attacked three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordou, Natanz, and Esfahan.” He noted that US aircraft are currently beyond Iran’s airspace, having dropped substantial munitions on the primary location and are now returning home. He congratulated the American forces. “We achieved this capability.”

Regarding negotiations, as noted by Joel Pollak from Breitbart News, the White House revealed on Thursday that Trump had decided to postpone negotiations with Iran for another two weeks, with hopes that Iran might agree to halt its nuclear enrichment in exchange for an end to hostilities. The report conveyed that the US had not directly participated in Israel’s military activities prior to Saturday but had provided arms and shared intelligence with Israel while repositioning naval and air assets nearby.

Iran reportedly remained defiant, refusing to engage in discussions about the future of its nuclear ambitions amid the strikes.

Additionally, the White House announced that President Trump plans to address the nation at 10 PM.
