Trump’s Support for Military Action Against Iran
During a recent appearance, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley called President Donald Trump a “man of his words.” The discussion on Breitbart News Daily focused on the U.S. military strikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.
Whatley expressed optimism that current tensions would eventually settle, suggesting that any Democrat advocating for Iran’s nuclear armament might need to reconsider their stance. He emphasized, “We can debate all day about seeking approval, but the reality is that Iran no longer possesses the means to develop or deliver nuclear weapons. That capability has been completely eradicated, and the president has once again proven he is true to his word.”
He further critiqued the “theater” presented by leftist politicians, such as Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, questioning their narratives.
“In fact, the situation has improved globally since Iran’s capabilities have been dismantled, and Iran is not in a stronger position now than it was just a short while ago,” Whatley noted.
When host Mike Slater challenged Whatley with criticism labeling Trump as a peace advocate, he clarified, “We are not engaged in nation-building.” He reiterated that both the President and Vice President have made it clear the U.S. is not at war with Iran, adding that the removal of their nuclear potential has made the world a safer place.
Whatley also pointed out the silence from leading Democrats, like Bernie Sanders, regarding military actions taken during Obama’s administration. “This is just theater. Nobody plays that role better than Chuck Schumer. Watching clips of him on the Senate floor when Democrats held power reveals a different narrative from what he presents now.”
