Trump’s Social Media tirade Targets AOC and Democrats
This Tuesday morning, President Trump took to social media, aiming sharp words at Congressional opponents, particularly targeting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). It seems he’s not backing down, hinting at the possibility of a third impeachment attempt against him.
In his post, Trump challenged them, saying, “Now, try and take me down again, make my day!” He referred to Ocasio-Cortez as one of the “most foolish” members of Congress and claimed Democrats were out of touch with the concept of “winning,” suggesting they would never succeed again in their political endeavors.
He didn’t stop there; Trump also disparaged other Democrats, like Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), calling her low-IQ, and Ilhan Omar (D-MN). He seemed particularly critical of Omar, implying that she should be mindful of her roots and past, hinting at her background in Somalia.
His comments towards AOC were especially pointed, as she had previously criticized his military actions regarding Iran’s nuclear intentions, labeling them as unconstitutional and a breach of war powers.
Trump even proposed that AOC should undergo cognitive testing, mocking her intellect in the process. He quoted his own doctor’s positive assessments, which seemed to be a jab at her mental capacity.
Additionally, Trump made a remark about the potential for AOC to challenge Senator Chuck Schumer in a primary, suggesting that she should focus on her election before thinking about toppling the prominent senator. “She better start worrying about her primary before thinking about defeating the great Senator Chuck Schumer,” he said.
In a rare moment of frustration, Trump expressed discontent over the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Iran, labeling those involved as clueless about the conflict. “They don’t know what they’re doing,” he stated, indicating his skepticism about the situation.
