A family in Texas experienced a frightening moment when their doorbell camera recorded a man wearing a Joe Biden mask, standing at their front door, and eating a banana.
This unusual incident occurred around 8 p.m. on a Sunday evening at their home in Watauga, which is located roughly 10 miles from Fort Worth. The family’s Nest doorbell camera caught the whole scene, as reported by WFAA.
The man, apparently barefoot, approached their door and opened his jacket to showcase a T-shirt that had “FREEDOM” printed on it. This shirt resembled one worn by Charlie Kirk during a tragic event at Utah Valley University in September 2025, according to the video.
While peeling the banana, he nodded his head and leaned closer to the camera, giving an unsettling close-up of the Biden mask. He even tapped the camera twice, seemingly attempting to ring the doorbell.
After taking a bite of the banana and staring intently into the camera, he turned and walked away.
The family promptly reported the incident to Watauga police and shared the doorbell footage. However, Police Chief Jim Lewis stated that there was “no evidence that a criminal offense had occurred.”
Officers searched the neighborhood but could not locate the man. Lewis remarked, “Although the individual’s choice of attire and snack may have raised a few eyebrows, neither appears to have violated the law at this time.”
He added that while they couldn’t explain the unusual costume, the banana, or any potential political implications, being odd isn’t, in itself, illegal.
The police department has been informed of social media posts from other community members who reported similar sightings of the masked individual.
Additionally, the authorities stated they do not have any other footage to release at this time.
Lewis encouraged residents to continue to report any suspicious activities, noting, “the Watauga Police Department takes these types of reports seriously, even when the circumstances are a little bananas.”
The video of this bizarre visitor has led to a flurry of online reactions, with many expressing confusion and fear.
One viewer commented, “This is scary and so confusing at the same time,” while another questioned, “Why’s he eating a banana?”
Another user cautioned, “Don’t play with people’s doors. Nothing good will come from it.”
