Amazon introduces $9.99 unlimited grocery delivery subscription with Prime

Amazon Prime members in the U.S. can order as many grocery deliveries as they like each month for an additional fee and meet a certain amount.

For an additional $9.99 per month, Prime members living in one of more than 3,500 locations will be able to access Amazon’s new grocery delivery subscription, the company said.

Unlimited delivery offered through this subscription, introduced Tuesday, applies to orders of at least $35.

Amazon says customers can order delivery from Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market, as well as “a variety of local grocers and specialty retailers” on the e-commerce giant’s site.

The subscription may be familiar to Prime members in Columbus, Denver and Sacramento, but Amazon said it piloted the option late last year.

“Subscriptions pay for themselves for less than $50 with a monthly delivery order from Whole Foods Market or a monthly delivery order from Amazon Fresh,” the company said.

The company announced Tuesday that it will offer grocery delivery subscriptions for just $4.99 per month to consumers with registered EBT cards who are not Prime members.
