A murder suspect who escaped from a prison in Arkansas through a hole in the ceiling with another detainee was rearrested days after his fellow escapee was arrested, authorities announced Monday.

Jatonia Bryant, 23, was killed in Pine Bluff shortly after 11 a.m. when officers conducting surveillance in the area spotted a fugitive on foot, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. He was found and arrested without incident.

Bryant and fellow detainee Noah Rausch, 22, were found missing on Jan. 22 at the Dove Brussell Adult Detention Center in Pine Bluff.
