Bill Burr defends response to California wildfires from ‘f***ing lunatic’ critics online: ‘Everybody did a good job!’

Comedian Bill Barr said “everyone did a great job” in responding to California's devastating wildfires, mocking those who criticized local leaders online.

Bill Barr appeared as a guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and commented. on tuesday. He told Kimmel he had to evacuate his home, but the wind shifted and his property was spared.

“It's like some motherfucker on the internet sitting there in his underwear knows how to fight the worst fire in the history of Los Angeles.”

“I feel lucky! And I think everyone did a great job! It's different than the internet,” he said.

“Oh my god, all these fire professionals,” he added, sounding like he was mocking his critics. “Why didn’t you just fly a helicopter out to sea?!” I don’t know, because it was 100 knots of wind, so why would you want to do that at night? This madman! ”

While some people on social media have made outlandish suggestions on how to put out the fire, more reasonable voices say local councilors have made decisions that are likely to worsen the situation and fan the flames.

“This was clearly mismanagement!” he said wryly. “It's like some motherfucker on the internet sitting around in his underwear knows how to fight the worst fire in the history of LA.”

The audience laughed in agreement.

“Did you know? We saw the footage on the internet and decided that there was mismanagement here!” he added sarcastically.

He went on to criticize Fox News and other news outlets for focusing on illegal immigrants rather than insurance companies.

“I love all the chatter about gangs of illegal immigrants and homeless people starting fires. They start fires every day! They live outside in the fucking cold. And this theory is… I mean, there's this homeless guy who went all the way from Alta Dena to Pacific Palisades and had a hang glider? ” Barr said.

“And while they talk about looting, CNN and FOX News aren't going to bring out the insurance companies that just keep everyone's premiums and get bonuses!” he added.

Barr was apparently unaware of California's overregulation, which caused insurance companies to cancel policies because they were not allowed to raise premiums to cover losses. In addition, a man was held captive with a torch by Los Angeles residents. reportedly He is an illegal immigrant, and the L.A. fire chief once asked homeless people to stop lighting fires to keep them warm.

California wildfires have killed at least 25 people and destroyed more than 13,000 homes and businesses.
